RARE – The original Supremes live on Hullabaloo
This is a rare compilation of the Supremes performing live on Hullabaloo in 1965. Episode features the original Supremes: Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, and Florence Ballard performing one of their first live performances of Dean Martin’s “You’re Nobody till Somebody Loves You”, as well as a medley of hits of the day like the Beatles “I Feel Fine” and “8 Days a Week” with other pop stars on the show, including the Byrds. They also perform a duet of “Stop in the Name of Love” with 60’s hearthrob Frankie Avalon (who also hosted the show), and Back in My Arms Again. This compilation is a true time capsule and a Must See for any Supremes or Diana Ross fan. Video and Audio quality are excellent too. The Supremes are icons for several reasons: they could sing all kinds of music, they were glamorous, beautiful, and charming, they embodied the american dream, and with a dozen #1 hits and over two dozen top 30 hits, they are the most successful female singing group in music history. They’re only second to the Beatles as the most successful group of the Rock era. This is a glimpse of what made them so special.
